Meningitis is a very sever problem. This is a neurological disorder that affects the meninges of the brain. The meningitis are the membranes that surround the brain and helps protect the brain. If you have meningitis you have a infection of the meninges they can be infected by a virus or bacterial. Bacterial Meningitis is the most sever type of the two. If bacterial meningitis is not treated right away it can lead to death after a short period of time. Viral meningitis is less severs but more common this can lead to long-term effects of loss of sensations and other types of brain damage. The viral meningitis is what Im most concerned with especially in college campuses because it is quick spreading and can have many long-term effects.
